Coach Schaber returns for his 3rd year with CLLA and takes over as Head Coach of the 7th/8th grade squad after spending the last 2 seasons assisting the Junior Varsity.
He is a graduate of Christian Brothers High School (Memphis, TN) where he played middie and attack all 4 years and earned all-state honors as a senior (1993). He went on to play throughout his college years while earning a mechanical engineering degree at the University of Texas.
Coach Schaber is employed by the Marathon Petroleum Refinery in Texas City and continues to play at the men's level.
Coach Ken returns for his 2nd year coaching CLLA. He moves up with his son, Tre, to the 7th grade level. Coach Ken brings excitement and passion every day, and the kids truly respond in kind.
Bryant Payne - PCA Certified
Coach Bryant returns to CLLA for his 4th season coaching the "Young Guns". In his 3 years with the Young Guns, the squad has a record of 48 wins in regular season and playoff competition. Coach Bryant will also share his talents assisting the 7th/8th grade squad, as well as accepting the Director of the Middle School Program position.
Coach Bryant graduated from Clear Lake High School in 2008. During his high school career, he served as a team captain, earned Rookie of the Year, Defensive MVP, Team MVP, All-District HM, was a T99 selection, and earned the Iron Man award.
Committed to achieving excellence both on and off the field, Coach Bryant is certified by the Positive Coaching Alliance and US Lacrosse. He continues to play in men's leagues and also coached the Hurricanes U11 select team and the U11-19 Texas Box Lacrosse Association teams.
Coach Troy returns for his 2nd year as an assistant on the Young Guns. Coach Troy brings his passion for the sport as well as his even-keeled demeanor which reflects in the composed nature of the Young Guns teams the last 2 years.
Coach Troy's son Travis returns for this 3rd year in CLLA.
4U Head Coach Jim Warner
Coach Warner enters his second season coaching for CLLA's 4U program. Coach Warner's style is based on decades of coaching youth football and he offers a unique ability to introduce the game to the next generation of CLLA players and their families.
His winning spirit and focus on fundamentals are essential ingredients for the future success of CLLA.
Coach Mark returns for his 2nd season. His son also plays for the 4U program.
